Leaving This Behind, For Shreveport
leaves to Shreveport a community-based asset: a grassroots flyer advertising service that helps affordably promote small biz/arts/ nonprofits/etc. as well as supplying a hard but functional way to earn $ on a bike; a potential cooperative cafe merger venture; how to ride a bicycle in any & every part of S'port and NOT get hurt (not even a scratch, so get on a bike, already); the value of networking veteran S'port citizens with relative newcomers (for ex: Mr. Chris & Askari); a bizarre circus act; a constant desire to make Shreveport a bit more functional and positive & a little less hopelessly conformist, tragically fatalistic & totally wasted. Also hoping for a lot less resistance to "outsiders" playing reindeer games and at least a little less general flakiness. I appreciate learning from all of the positive & negative that it offered.

Fanny Hill Burlesque Tribute for NXNWLA Foundation
Hard to believe how cool the Fanny Hill Tribute vaudeville/burlesque show turned out to be. Way bigger than expected standing room only crowd loved the show, the dancers/singers/comedians/musicians were very cool people as well as serious, skilled performers who did a fabulous job and Wanetah & Courtney of WC Choreography and Dan Garner of NXNWLA Foundation & staff did a phenomenal job of putting it all together on a volunteer basis on short order.
